We are looking for a Head of Controlling to lead our controlling team and play a key role in driving both operational and strategic decisions within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing fleet planning and cost modelling, developing reporting systems, and supporting management with clear, data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate brings a strong financial background combined with hands-on experience in controlling and finance business partnering within dynamic and growing environments such as mobility, fleet-intensive, or tech. You are a strategic sparring partner for management and know how to inspire and develop teams.

Your Responsibility
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the Controlling team

  • Drive and optimise fleet planning, utilisation analysis, and related cost modelling to steer operational and strategic decisions

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost centre reporting systems, structures, and processes, including defining and tracking KPIs

  • Deliver monthly performance analysis and variance explanations with clear improvement recommendations

  • Act as key business partner to C-Level and department heads, enabling data-driven decisions across the organisation

  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with operational needs and growth targets

  • Optimise resource allocation through in-depth cost analyses, ROI assessments, and scenario modelling

  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in alignment with accounting and FP&A standards

  • Support strategic projects, investment decisions, and fundraising through financial modelling and business case development

Your Experience
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering, ideally in mobility, fleet-intensive, tech, or scaling environments

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Advanced knowledge of controlling tools and BI systems (e.g. Tableau, Snowflake)

  • Confident with SQL and R scripting for data analysis and financial modelling

  • Deep understanding of cost centre structures, reporting systems, and KPI frameworks

  • Mindset to challenge and reassess the given

  • Analytical mindset with a pragmatic, hands-on approach

  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
